What the site stores
GameAtlas publishes game records, approved editorial recommendations, and links to official pages. It does not require accounts, comments, uploads, or payment details.
Measurement
GameAtlas uses Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate page visits, engagement, traffic sources, and general interaction patterns. These services may use cookies or similar technologies, and Clarity masks sensitive content by default. The site does not intentionally send personal identity information to either service.
GameAtlas Lens
If you use the optional GameAtlas Lens Chrome extension, it sends a small event payload to GameAtlas when the extension is installed, a Steam game is detected, a record is matched or not matched, or a Lens link is clicked. The payload can include an anonymous installation identifier, Steam App ID, game slug or name, extension version, event time, and source surface. It does not send the full Steam DOM, browsing history, Steam account information, or personal identity information.
When you click a Lens link, the destination may also receive the Steam listing URL and App ID as attribution parameters so the site can open the relevant context. The operational event store has a target retention period of 180 days; the cleanup schedule must be configured with the live Cloudflare deployment before remote collection is declared active. Google Analytics retention follows the configured property settings. No Lens data is sold or shared for advertising outside the analytics services described here.
